Title: Hello from Winnipeg, Canada
Post by: HandyDutchGuy on December 02, 2025, 02:22:28
New rider since Aug 1 of this year (2025)
Turned 61 in the spring and I decided I'd waited long enough to fulfill a lifelong dream of riding a motorcycle and learning a lot about my 2007 DL650. Why that bike? Hours of reading online led me to think it would be a good choice. And it is. Found a bike not too far from my home and I'm pretty happy with it.
Working on a few repairs over the winter. Nothing major, just replacing broken parts. I tipped the bike over in the shed. Don't ask. But I'm a glass-half-full kind of bloke and because of the needed repairs, got to pieces I wouldn't have looked at to begin with.
So that's my story thus far. Can't wait for spring and my first full riding season.

:welcome: Reminder to have a look on the downloads section, https://www.v-strom.co.uk/downloads.htm, if you are in need of an owner or service manual for your K7 Wee.

The original bike is still the best in my humble opinion.
