My good mate martyn is doing another epic Ride.
France 🇫🇷 Belgium 🇧🇪 Luxembourg 🇱🇺 Austria 🇦🇹 Italy 🇮🇹 Slovenia Croatia 🇭🇷 Bosnia 🇧🇦 Serbia 🇷🇸 Hungary 🇭🇺 Slovakia 🇸🇰 Poland 🇵🇱 Germany 🇩🇪
He set off this Afternoon for a stay overnight in a Pub in Hythe Kent, for an early train on the shuttle.
Martyn is a bit Bionic having almost lost his left leg in a motorcycle crash when he was 18. His Body has so much metal plates and screws holding him together.
But he still manages to do these big rides.
I must add he is doing this trip on his own. I will post pictures as and when he sends them to me. ( for those who are interested ? )

Well, wishing the very bet of luck and weather for Martyn.
Yes indeedy, pictures would be interesting.
-
That's some load he's carrying on his bike. I wish him well and hope he meets many nice people along his way. Looking forward to the pictures, thank you. :thumb:
-
Thank you misterdavey and the Doctor 46 for kind wishes for Martyn’s save travels.
I have heard from him today. First picture waiting to board the channel tunnel train. 7.02 am and 17.00 at a campsite in Luxembourg tent up and a beer on the go :thumb:
-
Had a video call this afternoon from martyn.
Rode from Luxembourg, to Germany as far as Ulm, left in to Austria then into Switzerland, and on to Lichtenstein 33oc 385 miles today. He has meet up with a friend today on his new 2025 BMW. They are riding together for a while tomorrow then his friend Nigel heads in to Italy. They have both set up there tents in a camp site for the night, and more welcome cold beer.
He has sent some photos from the camp site. Not from the ride today as mostly motorway. But unfortunately our internet here at the caravan in Kent is not very good so might have to send photos when we get home tomorrow.

Martyn has been in contact. He has been through some stunning mountain passes today and Kloisters Switzerland. But his phone died and would not charge.

Such a beautiful place. Thanks for taking the time to share the pictures.
As he's spending so much time on the road, these sightseeing days must be essential.
-
Thank you MisterDavey yes I does look a lovely place.
He was going to Lublin to see the Majdanek consentration camp but that would be another 811 miles in the wrong direction, so he thinks he will travel to Ljubljana in Slovenia and camp there. Then possibly Obersalzberg and then hole up in Munich for the weekend, then have a slow Ride back to Luxembourg and finish off in Leper with friends of his who own a bar there :thumb:
-
Amazing. I now feel like a massive tart for admonishing my mate who wants to get coffee in Zermatt but only has 7 days. Turns out it's a day trip - who knew.........
