Title: Seen at The Old Stores, Molt
Post by: Barbel Mick on May 03, 2025, 19:24:28
The B-King has been mentioned on here a few times & one or two have owned one. Saw this & thought it had been converted very well.
The owner was disabled & carried his wheelchair on it.
The Ariel Arrows are just to get brocket moaning about lack of enclosed chains on modern motorcycles.  :stirpot: :old:
Sorry Dave.  :)

Ariel tales 1:  1965 - I passed my test on an Ariel Golden Arrow lent to me by a friend after my trusty 175 Bantam was written off by a SMIDSY just before the test was due. A week later I bought a 1961 350 Royal Enfield.
2: A local lad fitted race style expansion boxes to his Arrow and complained that the bike wouldn't handle. When I looked I saw he had bolted his exhausts to each side of the swing arm.

The Golden Arrow was how it all started for me, my dad had one and would take me to the local road races on it. The Cookstown 100 was my favourite as it was on a Wednesday till 74, so I got a bike ride, watched some great racing and a day of school!
