I tried to reply to the "what did you do to your bike" thread with a post that includes an image.
When I clicked on the "Post" button the screen cleared, then just sat there. I waited for a bit then hit the Refresh button.
I got the message about resubmitting a form. Then clicked on the back button which took me back to the previous screen with my post in edit mode. I tried again and the process repeated itself. ie, the main screen is blank and nothing happening.
It might be the image but if it is, wouldn't I get a message saying that it's too big or wrong size, file format or whatever (It's a JPG taken off my iPhone)?
Thanks

It is likely your image is too big, try resizing it to 800 x 600px and try again :thumb:

Thanks. I'll try it again, but shouldn't it tell me that the image is too big?
-
Sometimes it does, or it will say something about failed security something or other.

After the image is uploaded I then click on the "Post" button. The screen refreshes and presents as a blank page. And just sits there.
If I hit the refresh button it pops up a message about resubmitting a form which I do and the same thing happens.
Maybe it's the image itself causing the board software to have a hernia or something. I resized it to 800x1200, the smallest that I could get it using Mac's Preview software as that is all I have for editing images. It's two iPhone photos joined together using an app called "Pic Sew", so perhaps the odd size is doing it?

I think 800 x 1200 may be the problem. Do you know what the file size is? The forum will resize an image within reason but it will struggle if they are huge.
-
Do the photos have to be together? Try uploading them individually.
I use this to resize but I'm not sure it'll work on a Mac?

Morning (at least here in Oz). I've just become back to this. The image, as saved in the Photos app on my Mac is around 9 megs.
I just did a screen grab of the photo. It's about 1.2 megs.
I'll attach it here and see if it uploads.

And it did. The image is to show the new Ogio TB2 tail bag that I fitted to the bike and was to go into the "what I did to the bike today" thread.
I'll repost it there.
