It's a bit belt and braces but that's just me I spose....
It's a 3D printed bumper and tether for the XT. The tether fits nicely around the mount.....just in case.....I know!
It's from Weird3dprintsshop on Etsy, or some'at like that. It was a quick painless experience and the Sat Nav still fits in the Garmin case......just.
I replaced the tether with a Garmin item and it comes with the contact cover too.
Pics in case you're interested.

Good idea!
Had my TomTom tethered to my bike when it decided to try and part ways at 70mph on the M4 :GRR:
Thankfully it did a bit of dangling before I could shove it behind the accessory bar and then pulled off at the next junction. Locktite and screws done back up real tight now!

@Upt North.........only just acceptable. 😉

Just seen this post and went on Etsy, and just bought the Garmin XT security lock. About £40 cheaper than what motopumps in the US are offering. :ty: :ty:

If it's just to stop the unit bouncing out of the cradle, there's always the RAM rubber option at about £5. Fits between cradle and mount.

No, it's actually a device that locks the Zumo to the charging cradle, which then stops the release button on the Zumo being depressed. Not only is that a good thing, but it also stops any potential idiot, trying to grab it when you're stoped at anytime, say at some traffic lights.When it comes, I will post some pictures of it fitted to the bike. I've seen locks on eBay that do the same for £35 from China, this unit comes from Holland, and looks like a tidy bit of kit. You can only try can't you.

Yes, I promise I will. It's been dispatched, and should be here maybe the end of next week. :thumb:

Well as promised, my Garmin Zumo XT lock came this morning. I've got to say that it's a brilliant bit of kit for the £18.53 it cost including postage from Holland ( No import tax to pay either ).
I would recommend that if you do decide to buy this kit, I would go an buy some extra long screws of the size shown in the photo. The original screws do work, but they didn't seem to catch a lot of the thread, so for just £1.10, I got a bag of 10. Maybe overkill on my part, but peace of mind none the less.
Thanks to Upt North for his original post :thumb: :thumb: It's 100% perfect.
