Hi any ideas how to stop wind noise VSTROM 650 thanks
-
Ear plugs. :thumb:

If not already wearing them then yes, specifically I like Docs Pro Plugs with the vent in. They're incredibly comfortable providing you buy the correct size and they block high frequencies whilst allowing mid range through. I wear them to play drums and ride the bike, highly recommend.
Failing that, screens with flip ups are nice as you can leave them down at low speed and flip up for cruising.

Your crash helmet can also be a problem for wind noise.
As said, Earplugs are the way to go . :thumb:

Blimey, how do you manage to play drums and ride the bike?
I use custom moulded plugs for playing bass and riding the bike. Not at the same time though.

Givi Airflow screen helps a lot.

+1 for the Givi Airflow

Less Beans.

I agree, always worn mainly Arai helmets but recently switched to a Shoei and much less wind noise from these in my opinion.

I tried 4 different screens on mine to get one that wasn’t as ugly as the Givi Airflow, but ended up buying one as nothing works as well. Now I can ride with my visor up.

Unscrew top, standard screen bolts half way. Remove bottom pair. Insert 2 or 3 thick rubber tap washers between screen and lower holes. Screw in 4 bolts and screen is raked back several degrees. Problem of wind and noise is often solved this way dependent on rider height. I did this mod on my 3 V-Stroms...Mk 1,2 and 3. Cheap mod and can be very successful. Worth a try for the price of a couple of bits of rubber from a plumbing shop!
PS - I only had buffeting on the 650's - the 1050 rides pretty quiet at speed but rider height and helmet design plays a part too.

I went with an MRA Vario touring screen and smaller mirrors. Got rid of noise and buffeting.

Another vote for the Givi airflow , also gets rid of the turbulence.
