Sportsbike Shop have a sale on the Oxford Montreal 3.0 Textile jackets which are reduced to £99 which seems a bargain to me.
They seem to pick up good reviews

Anyway - A linky for you to go look see :)

Just ordered one ... :thumb:
Only had it in army green in my size but it's only a replacement commuter jacket.
Let's hope it's as good as the reviews 🤞🤞
-
Ridaz Your fecker, I didn't need one, I didn't read any reviews but I bought one anyway.
19 Crimes and the SportsbikeShop do not mix.
-
I went for the Black Fluo :)
-
Why do the army green trousers look a completely different shade of green from the jackets?
-
Blimey ... Popular jackets ..
Imagining turning up to a meet and everyone wearing the same jacket ... lol
-
I don’t think they do my size only go up to 4xl :icon_no:
-
feck.
There were choices?
-
Oops! Did you choose a size, or just hit the "buy now" button?
-
SIZES AS WELL?
-
I'm not looking..
-
Next day delivery is not going so well so far!
-
FUcc sake!! I’m trying to stop spending till my new bike arrives!! :angry-banghead:
She may well kill me!! Or worse still cancel my bike!! :icon_batterup:
-
I've received a despatched email, should receive it by 11am Monday.
Let's see .. :eusa-doh:
-
Next day delivery is not going so well so far!
If it's Hermes, nip round to the next street and see if they've left it in somebody's green bin. The "left" my parcel in my "outbuilding" and I signed for it. I haven't got an outbuilding, and I didn't sign for the thing I never got. Strike two for Hermes, they did the same thing a few months ago with an led indicator set.

Royal Mail Special Delivery posted through my letter box and was "signed" for without me being in the house.
-
Yes, we do that now to keep ourselves and yourselves as contact-free as possible. I did the very same thing 17 times in one day just before Christmas. If you enter your number in track & trace it will confirm time and location of delivery. All above board.
-
House keys have worn a hole in the pocket of my current jacket- so reason enough to buy another now...
Thanks for the heads up. :thumb:
-
Tempting but no!!
what I really need is a good 2 piece rain suit, I use Richa rain warrior now and they were OK for a while but the trousers leak at the groin and the jacket somehow gets wet inside the arms especially with condensation.
-
Buy the jacket AND a 2 piece.
A motorcyclist can never have too many jackets or pairs of gloves, I am living proof.
-
2 piece throw overs are the way to go .. :thumb:
Your not alone TL, having bike gear for every eventuality is a must .. lol
That's what the missus thinks anyway .. :shy:
-
I've got the Montreal 2 and it's a cracking jacket, especially when you bring cost into the equation. The version 3 is supposed to be much improved so it'll be a great jacket folks - enjoy :thumb:
-
To my surprise my jacket arrived today via DPD , they must be delivering Sundays to make up time
I only ordered it new year's Day, so, a super quick delivery .. :lala:
Anyway, for £99 the quality looks good, I'm glad I ordered a size bigger as the jacket seems like it's a slim snug fit.
It's got plenty of pockets and vents and I think there's a built in hood in the collar, it's also very adjustable to help it fit just right however, my only gripe is it's got lots of velcro and velcro wears out quick , especially on the sleeves.
For the money I'm pleased but time will tell, it'll get used virtually every day. 🤞🤞
-
:thumb:
I've been very happy with DPD. Good communications, good tracking, cheerful polite driver who always closes the gate properly. ( We've been catching up on Sundays too, but I only did one. You can have too much of a good thing.)
-
Indeed, I watched the DPD driver on my door cam while I was out and he did exactly what was asked, and yes , he also closed my gate.
The communication / tracking was brilliant, well impressed .. :thumb:
-
Mine was dropped off yesterday by DPD. Drove off just as I got to the front door and he had left the gate open ### A bit later I got an email to say that it had been left at a random house in the village ### As for the jacket it looks good and well made. Now all I need is for the gritters to feck off so I can take the bike for an MOT :auto-dirtbike:
-
I can see where this is going to end.
Mine has yet to be delivered... and when it does I bet I ordered the wrong size... and all my size will have been bought by you lot!
-
To bad, that they don't ship to Holland. :angry-banghead:
Looks like a great jacket.
Greets, John

Anyone any ideal of sizes on these? I've tried on the more expensive laminated one and needed an xl, I normally wear a 54 dainese. No bike shops open here to try anything on!
-
They are a slim fit,I got mine earlier last year and had to get a couple of sizes larger than my usual to fit comfortably.Although I went to the shop on the bike and with bike kit on and tried a few on to get the correct size, plus I paid a lot more than £99.😢🤦♂️
-
Mine came today- respect to the shop & courier. Re the sizing- my previous (RSR) jacket was XL, so went with this size again. It's a bit snugger, not enough for me to swap it for the next size up, but you may like to consider going one size larger if you are towards the upper end of your size range (and/ or ate too many mince pies lately and/ or let your gym membership lapse....)
-
Rejoice mine arrived today.
I wasn't sure what to expect until Sunday when I looked at what drunken me had ordered.
I did order my correct size L, it's in a rather fetching "desert" design. It has lots of vents, decent sized pockets, loads of adjustments and a pocket to accept my back protector.
The sleeves are a bit on the long side, better than too short.
Thank you Tony.
(Luckily I didn't hit "buy it now" on the 950 Supermoto)
-
Used it today ...
If I'm being honest, now that I've ridden my bike, the size I ordered *large* is a little big for me but that's OK because at a mere 1deg this morning at 7am, I wasn't freezing but I could have benefited with another layer added my thermal underwear, a t-shirt and a jumper and yes, the sleeves are a little long.
My daily ride is a 25mile round trip on city roads so I don't get a over 40mph much so I say on motorways at constant speed another layer would be essential, maybe a proof over jacket.
Anyway It's a £99 jacket so I won't complain too much ... :thumb:
-
The next forum ride out is going to look like a catalogue photo shoot... :stirpot:
-
By the time we get another ride out, the next New Year sale will have come & gone!!
-
Aye, with hindsight my post aged badly! The jackets will still look like new though...
-
As my jacket has not yet arrived... I called them just now and was advised that they do not dispatch part orders and the tool kit I also ordered has a 3 week backorder on it. They cancelled my toolkit order immediately and I should get my jacket tomorrow which will inevitably be the wrong size .
Fabulous service from Sportsbikeshop though, really helpful as mentioned lots elsewhere in this forum.
-
My jacket came today, another excellent service from Sportsbikeshop. I've just sent it back. The rear RHS vent zip was jammed closed. Other than that the jacket seemed good and I nearly kept it but as I was 50/50 to start with I have asked for a refund.
-
I didn't check any vents, all the packaging went in the re-cycle bin.....
If I'm still alive I'll find out in the summer.
(If we have one and we're allowed out)

WARNING
Sorry people, only just seen this. I have a montreal 3.0 in my wardrobe, and that's where it will stay. had it for just over a year. I don't want to pee on amybodies bonfire but it was awful. they should have just left the sleaves on the factory floor as they let so much water in when it rained I could feel it running down my arms and parts of the main jacket let it through as well, I had to buy a waterproof over jacket just to stay dry, BUT it is a very warm jacket.
I now have the Mondial and so far the only thing I'm not too happy with is the length of the jacket itself, it even has extra velco on the cuffs so as to allow "inies" AND "outies" (gloves that is).
-
Re: water leaks I watched a good review on this jacket and in it he explained that the vent zip heads need to be pushed all the way up and into the covering or the jacket will leak. The head should disappear under the covering, if that makes sense, then it will not leak. Hope that helps!
-
Well , if mine leaks it's going back under warranty ... :thumb:

the leak seems to be where the elastic is in the upper arm, there are no zips there. I have seen other reports about this problem aswell even on here

-
FFS now you tell me on the day mine evenutally arrived... and as predicted.... I need a bigger size too.
-
Or does the jacket need a size smaller model?
-
:thumb:
-
I always carry an outer waterproof layer rather than relying on the jacket to do it's job.
I have an ancient Frank Thomas one piece that has kept me dry in biblical deluges on long rides, though I did buy a two piece suit last year to avoid the theatrics of the one-piece.
-
I have ridden through torrential rain in mine and stayed dry. That includes hours of motorway in Europe. But I wash it and Nikwax it every year.
My only criticism is that the sleeves are a bit narrow.
-
Sadly, my jacket has been sent back. :groan:
40mins in the rain, my stomach got wet and then the collar popper ( if that's what it's called) broke ..
Not getting it replaced as of yet....
-
My correct fitting jacket arrived today.... can't see it getting used for some time
-
:lala: I tested mine yesterday
.....on dog walking duties.
-
I'd hoped I was just unlucky with my Montreal jacket, but perhaps not going on others' experiences here.
I really liked the fit of the jacket, the venting, pockets etc.... but the sleeves leaked quite badly (and I was careful about parking the zip-sliders!) , and one of the sleeve zips has broken - teeth come away from the fabric. Too late for a warranty claim, unfortunately, so it's now a summer-only jacket.
-
I have a montreal 3 jacket for sale if anyone wants it, its a 5xl but fits more like a 3xl  :eusa-doh:
