Anyone used one of these BT headsets, T-MAX 6 Rider Bluetooth Motorcycle Helmet Intercom Headset Interphone, 42£ on ebay, just wondering if they fit a standard full face helmet and if they are any good?

I have the same set up, excellent for the price, never had any problems with it. if your helmet has recesses for the speakers it makes fitting easier.

I use one of these they are £10 on eBay. It works with my phone and Tom Tom but not with my Garmin.

How loud is it? Can you hear it with earplugs?

I only wear an ear plug in one ear and the volume is OK you can adjust it on the microphone control. I did not expect much for £10 but it is OK. It is a little tight in my Caberg helmet .

They are loud enough with ear plug at legal speeds and last all day. I've had mine quite a while now and wouldn't be without it on any ride (mainly for the music, pairs to my Garmin and controls the music from it's screen)

How did you figure out exactly where to position the earpieces inside the helmet, did you have to cut out any polystyrene?

Most helmets have little cut out behind the lining, mine didn't but the speakers are so slim it doesn't matter. I've got a similar one to user650 about £20-£25 on fleabay with a big dial on the outside to adjust the volume, I wear an ear plug and it's plenty loud enough at normal legal speeds, also answers the call automatically after so many rings, great for Sat Nav too. I'm a Blood Biker so I use it a lot with Sat Nav and phone.

Like PB said if you remove the cheekpads from your helmet there are likely recesses for speakers, if not just fit them were your ears will be, the speakers velcro on and are very slim, there's a mic which you can position on the chin bar, I wouldn't be without a bluetooth kit now, music, phone calls, Sat Nav instructions, very handy, stays charged a long time too, great for chatting bike to bike.
