Being honest, I have always struggled to get accurate tyre pressure readings. Presently I have two gauges - a very old pop out one, and a newish Ring digital type. Neither fit onto my V-strom 650 valves well - the rims don't have much distance from the wheel centre, and the discs/chain ring gets in the way. I have bought angled valves but even with these it is a struggle and I lose so much air in the process of taking the readings that by the time I do get one it is too low and I have to start the process again. Any comments!

I use an Oxford dial type. Digital ones go haywire when the batteries start to go.

I used this tool for doing my tyre pressures (https://www.halfords.com/motoring/motorcycling/motorcycle-accessories/halfords-valve-access-tool), Oxford do one for roughly the same price.
That tool solved all my issues and it was also a perfect fit for my DL1000's original toolkit.

Quite like the look of this, Paz324. Will give that one a go.

In a Ride Magazine test, the simple pencil gauge came out as one of the most accurate. A dial gauge from Venhill came out best of that type.

I use that same Oxford gauge as Rusty nuts and can recommend it. Nice and clear and very accurate. I've tested it on the bench at work too. :thumb:
