Title: Adjustable levers and hand guards
Post by: rayboy68 on September 08, 2018, 16:12:47
Hello blokes, looking at getting some adjustable levers, so my question is do they fit and operate properly with guards fitted ?  :ty:

Has anyone else noticed that when you put "blokes" in a post it changes it to blokes? Strange

Worry not my West Midlands chum.

Our Glorious Leader ( :bow-blue:) has deemed all words "American" shall be banished for ever more.

It is an acceptable quirk of the site, if you are ever bored try posting other words such as   c*o*o*l or   a-s-s etc.

Just remember you must never under any circumstances use the quote feature from a previous post in a topic, this will lead to understandable outrage and possible death. :)

In answer to your question I've just fitted somw to my 2016 DL1000 £16 from fleabay, they are well made  and I've fitted similar previously and no problems, I didn't like the bite point ( Too far out for my short digits)on the original levers, and thought these would do the trick, but on position 1 the lever doesn't engage the clutch switch and the engine won't start, Position 2 is now my only option and it's a slight improvement.

Put some shorter adjustable ones on my 2017 DL1000. Work really well.

Alternatively cut/ file a couple of millimetres off the plunger pin thingy in the clutch lever easily accessible and easily done . There’s a thread on here or  the American Strom trooper site some where all about it.
