I know most sensible bikers will know how important quality protective gear is, but just to reinforce the message, have a read of this article by a consultant plastic surgeon in Swansea.

I watched this,It made me feel queasy. On a ride yesterday I saw more than ten riders with less than appropriate
clothing. It was very hot, especially when riding slowly.I would rather be overheated than sanded by the road.

I was passed on the A1M last evening by a bloke on a Bandit travelling at 70MPH+ in the outside lane wearing just a T-shirt, shorts, trainers and a helmet.

It's incomprehensible.

About 20yrs ago,we were on our Pan European on the M20(I think) on the way to the tunnel, and were passed by a BMW (German Reg.) and they were the same except they BOTH were wearing flip-flops.
Unbelievable ???????????? I wouldn’t wear them to walk about in????????
