Title: TLPower's trailer
Post by: Froglodyte on June 25, 2018, 16:18:37
I bought TLP's trailer a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately,  it was over 2 metres wide - I could see both mudguards in my mirrors while towing it home. Half a days work with an angle grinder and MIG welder, new hitch and mudguards. I now have a trailer which is half a metre narrower, a few kilos lighter and will now go past the side of my house!

Ta! We also moved the axle 3" forward and gave it a coat of paint. At least it's all the same colour now! Had son in law's r1100rt on it no problem. just got to fit the jockey wheel clamp now.

It only took me a few years to work out that it was a good idea...but now done, it is so much safer and easier to load, I can even use the sidestand until I get the straps started, and won't break a leg getting tied up with the chassis. :fix:
