I don't like panniers but, I'm going on a 3 week tour, two up and need a bit more luggage space. I love filtering so need to keep within handlebar width. I don't have any pannier bars just an OEM top top box.
I would like something which is easily removable and doesn't break the bank.
Any suggestions welcome.

Tank bag?
.

Another option is ditch the top box & strap a big roll bag to the top box plate

My 36 litre ARDCASES are probably slightly wider than the bars, but not so much that I worry about filtering although the places I tend to go do not suffer from congestion. I don't do big towns. Countryside for me every time. I only use them when I am on a two up trip with the wife. The Tesco hessian 'bags for life' are a perfect fit, so we just lift them out when we stop overnight. Very little goes in the huge topbox. That is mainly for storing the helmets when we are off the bike. I also have a baglux tank cover and bag which is perfect for wallet, handbag, passports phones and anything else important that we take with us when we are off the bike. The little tank panniers contain a small first aid kit and lightweight waterproofs as we tend to use well ventilated gear on our Summer tours. I don't see how you can manage without sizeable panniers if touring two up. Even with my set up we have to do a fair bit of washing on a two week tour.

Thanks for that but Roger of 'ardcases fame is on sabbatical for the next few months and not taking on any new orders.
