Title: Tips for a suspension noob
Post by: Stonec0ld on September 17, 2016, 19:30:15
Hiya,

I'm sure this has been done to death, and I've read a few other forums so I get the rough idea about pre load and static and rider sag, but I've got a question.

If I increase the pre load on the rear when I'm taking a pillion, do I also increase the pre load on the front? Or do I decrease it?

I was thinking that if I increase both, then as I get the extra weight on the back, will that not make the front too high?

.

You leave the front unchanged. There is not a significant change in the amount of weight the front suspension carries with people or luggage at the rear.
