Title: Torque question for panniers
Post by: Toddy64 on March 05, 2016, 17:01:17
Hi Folks,
Having Suzuki panniers to fit on my 2015 DL1000 I'm wondering if anyone can let me know the torque setting for the five 10mm bolts each side ?
Thanks in anticipation,
Toddy64

Are they 10mm bolts or 6mm shank bolts with 10mm heads? Typically, bolts in such kits are hardened so the column on the right is used. Such markings are hardly ever used that I've seen but book values in other places are those on the right.

Thanks, that's higher than I'd have thought but having stripped a Suzuki DR350 caliper bolts tend to be a bit careful.

Toddy, make sure you aren't mixing up shank diameter with head size.
