Title: V-Strom search engine
Post by: ProfG on March 04, 2016, 13:12:02
While searching for something, I came across this and thought it might be a good idea to share it. Apologies if it has been posted before and kudos and thanks to me if it has not

Search All things V-Strom (http://www.vee-strom.com/search/)

This is what the author/creator says: This unique search engine puts the knowledge of all the V-Strom forums and owner websites into one simple search. The message boards have rather poor built-in search functionality, and some recommend using Google’s site search to find information in their archives. I have taken this concept a step further and blended all the V-Strom websites online into a V-Strom only search tool.

UPDATE:
having tried it, it returns sweet FA for everything   :violence-smack:

Yep, seems to be a universal search engine that focuses on a yank site

Bigger forums will get more hits just because there are more posts. I hope there is no focusing involved.

In his blog he did say to submit links so he can include them in his search database.

Bigger is not always better Pat. I find Stromtrooper.com completely unreadable with all of the adverts it hosts.  :-x

There are a number of ad blocking tools. I use Adware Plus on desktop and phone. Stromtrooper is set up to be ad heavy on guests. Join and log on and ads are diminished to the point that logging on along with an ad blocker should make ads totally disappear. The only people I've seen who still complain about ads after that have adware on their computers.
