Hi
Anyone else out there broken the 10,000 mark on their new 1000. Just clocked over to 10,030 on the way home from work tonight. Bikes a year and three days old and still running sweet however just had to have the dealer take up some slack in the steering head bearings. Would be good to hear from anyone else who has done similar mileage or more

Just a year old now and on 15,000 miles.

I have nearly 15,000km from July. Re the steering head bearings, by chance do you know if they are roller or ball bearing? I ask because on my K7 I replaced the ball race bearing at 50,000km and was surprised how worn they were and what a difference it made.

I assume they are tampered rollers being replaced this week will let you know

Yes, I passed 10k miles a couple of weeks ago.

No not 10000 just 1000 miles but enjoying it apart from the fasteners rotting before my eyes and the dreadful screen, tried a tall one but did not suit me ( see add now reduced).
I plan to do high mileage on this bike so keep you posted. :)

It's been widely discussed the use of Givi Airflow. I spent loads of money on screens when I had my Glee and ended up (thanks to this forum) with Givi Airflow. It solved all of my problems.
Now with Vee2 I went straight to Givi Airflow. It took some time to find perfect setup and angle (for me tilted towards the rider works the best) but again, it solved all the buffeting and noise.

And the air flow givi is well priced at the moment from bykebitz, think it was 103 quid plus if on mainland ( I'm not) you get free postage. I've not tried it get r the bike for that matter? Still lucked out on the brake line I need for my thumb lever brake.
