Title: What is this section for?
Post by: Juvecu on June 05, 2013, 19:34:28
This section is for moderators to preserve helpful posts in. We are looking for all manner of different posts. Howto guides by members on anything as simple as putting foil in your indicators to make them brighter all the way to a complete engine strip and rebuild might get in here. Posts that recount a member's experiences from doing a specific job that would benefit others who want to tackle the same work would also be something we'll look to keep. Even short informational posts in reply to common questions could end up in here.

As you all know, there is a huge amount of old posts on the forum and many of those would help a lot of people if they were collected in this section and made easier to find. There are literally years worth of posts with vast amounts of experience from many users that can be extremely helpful if they could be found easily.  If you are searching for some advice and you find an old post(s) particularly helpful, please PM me with a link to the thread and the moderators will decide if the post(s) will get included in this section.

If your post gets 'preserved' in this section it might get modified a bit. This will usually be in the form of fixing spelling/grammar/broken links/formatting/clarifying and so on. This will be done in the interest of making the posts easy to read and comprehend. Importantly, authors will be credited and a link to the original post(s)/thread will be included.

Note that any images in the original post will be copied and hosted elsewhere so that they never get lost even if the user leaves the forum and deletes all the images they linked to. This is done to make sure that none of the posts become unclear because of images that are lost. We like images, posts with good images are much more likely to get preserved in here because, to use a cliché, a picture is worth a thousand words.

If you find any technical errors in any post in this section, please let me know via PM so I can correct it.

Your Moderator Team need your help!

At the moment, the Moderators flag up posts that we believe are worthy of being recorded in this section. The photos are cloned so that the record remains available if the original author moves on.

The record is there for us all and we hope members will benefit from these technical posts.

So, if you see a technical post that you believe is really helpful, then please PM one of the Moderators. If we agree with your selection, then we will preserve the details in this section.
