Title: L2 pannier racks
Post by: Oop North John on April 14, 2012, 16:15:34
Not pointing any fingers, but why does it only seem to be Hepco & Becker, Trax and Givi that are making any pannier racks for the new wee? Others who sell panniers for the "old" wee don't seem to be interested at the moment, when I already have a pair of zegas ready and waiting so it'll be their loss as I can see myself going for the Gobi's.

Have you emailed them? they may be designing all the bits now.

Once or twice a month, and to add insult to injury, one supplier has had them in their 1200 odd page catalogue (with a price) for the last couple of months.

The H&B racks are "quick release" type racks. You can remove or fit them in about 2 minutes, they are really rather splendid. However this requires some permanent bits which would get in the way of any normal racks.

H & B seem to have gone on the only quick release racks bandwagon. While I'm not off on a RTW trip anytime soon, I do wonder on how long the quick release fasteners will last, probably a shorter time than the previous model, which might help their business bottom line.
