Title: Walkie Talkies
Post by: Fat Rat on December 10, 2011, 14:54:17
Hello all,

I have a pair of high power walkie talkies for sale. They are brand new and boxed. These are not the cheap PMRs you see in Electrical shops. Digital frequency readout and drop in chargers

£45 including postage for the pair.

Can they handle PMR frequencies? If so, could you give a brand name and model number so I can find the specs online?

Actually the term is widely accredited to a British born fella who moved to Canada. He was Donald Lewes Hings who was born in Leicester.

ps. Did you see my question on the radios?

I was convinced I had answered that further up

By PMR I am guessing you mean 446MHz? These Radios are on VHF so the frequency range is 136-174 Mhz
there is a user manual here http://www.users.on.net/~endsodds/jingtong.pdf (http://www.users.on.net/~endsodds/jingtong.pdf)

VHF will generally perform better than UHF and there are legal frequencies in there if you want to go to the extent of sending Ofcom a few quid for a licence.  :thumb:
