Ah,hah.Found it,it cannot be accessed from the "unread posts" page, you have to go back to the home page and click on a subject heading and it brings up a "new topic" button.   Ian Mc.

Democracy is no way to run anything.  :dl_soapbox:
Leadership is knowing the right way and doing it. :old:

Modification in the light of experience is not a weakness / U-Turn. :dl_hyperhysteria:
Individual model sectionalism can lead to isolation and elitism.  :groan:  Whilst putting everything in one pot ends up like curry and you know what that leads to .... :-x

Following the mantra of "two wheels good" requires acceptance of all styles including pointless pointy things.

No other forum comes close to the knowledge  :fix: and comradeship  :obscene-drinkingchug: of the members.

And that is the result of good leadership with the occasional :violence-smack:

This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

This is my favourite way to negotiate the site so that I do not miss anything  :thumb:

New replies to my posts first then show unread posts...

First time round you might find you need to use the Mark all messages as read button mind!

One thing I use on another site is a 'Thanks' button.

If someone has given decent advice or help then they clock up thanks - likewise you get thanked for the same. Sounds petty when you explain it but it does add to the general feel of the site IMHO
If money can't buy happiness - explain motorbikes and beer.

I like the 'thanks' feature too, as used on other (inferior) sites.
Thanks for mentioning it.  :ty:

Simple and good as it is.  The 'new' DL1000 is really same as the 2014-  but minor tweaks and different paint ?

The 1000 is different to the 650 and do not share much ?  Apart from a V twin and Suzuki badge ?

The forum is great as it is, but at the end of the day those who put  in their own time (and dare I say it most likely own dosh) to maintain and run the site, must do  as necessary for a quiet life ! And the masses should, and no doubt will support them.

On that point, when a Tiger owner I was a member on a very 'active' site.  Still is today. (Tiger 1050 Forum UK) You could be identified as a forum sponsor by chucking in the odd fiver towards all the admin costs associated with running a web site ?  I have got so much out of this site, from ECU, to Screen, to Exhaust can, benefits are obvious.

I like being able to go straight to the section which specifically for my bike. It's also easier when looking for older posts, if the were all merged it'd be a devil of a job trying to find specific posts.  :)
