Starting bike that's not run for over a year

As per subject is there a way to manually turn the engine over to allow oil to reach parts where oil has not been for a while, prior to starting?

Spin on the starter with the kill switch off - not all bikes will do this, or turn over with a socket through the access plug on the alternator cover.
Personally, I'd just start normally - oil pressure will build quickly.

If it's a strom spinning it up won't work, I'm with Hondaman, just start it, fresh fuel and a well charged battery, you want to give it every chance to start ASAP.

Its a DL650 2005.
I just want to make sure that there is enough oil for when I go to start it, so I don't cause any wear problems from things rubbing that shouldn't.

If you really feel keen a drop or three of two stroke oil down the spark plug holes, with a 50/50 mix of petrol to help it spread, left overnight will lube the bores and rings
