A470 from Llanidloes to Rhayader

Another video from my trip to Wales in August. This is the A470 from Llanidloes to Rhayader. It was early on a Monday morning when I left the campsite and started to head home. I was fortunate to have the road to myself in my direction of travel. This section of road is one of the best A roads in Wales in my opinion. It’s a wide, swooping road that's really engaging to ride. Another reason I love riding in Wales.

Nice mate. I'm touring Wales from Cardiff up to Bala via a very squiggly route in the morning so may well end up doing part of that road either there on the way back. Cheers.

Thanks, you won't be disappointed. So many great roads you could take. Other recommendations are the A483 from Crossgates to Newton & the mountain road from Machynlleth to Llanidloes, both are on my YouTube channel. Also the B4520 from Brecon to Builth Wells via Lower & Upper Chapel.

All great roads them. Spoilt for choice in Wales.
A483 is one of the best biking roads in Europe.

That looks like it has the potential to be a very fast road. I wouldn't mind betting that the police know that too. Nice ride.
