No problem with the piss taking gents (I'd be doing the same
) but I told Rusty I was happy for the video to be posted up as it might help others to know how easy it is to drop the bloody thing.
I suppose it was all down to a bit of 'school boy error', we'd only been out for less than an hour so concentration was OK, I was looking to come to a stop on the pavement, but I think, I then thought I'd have more room on the road? By that time I'd come to a stop & as Ian said above & the rest of us realised after seeing the video, my right foot was an inch or so higher than it should have been/I thought it was.
Once the bike was on it's way it was just a case of the Ninja reflexes kicking in & saving myself from injury!
My wing man, Rusty, keeping any traffic at bay.
Even before the bike was righted concern was shown for myself by those present and then a quick look at the bike, which has no more than a scratch on the o/s spot & the rear o/s footrest had paint removed. Luckily the Lomo crash bar bag, full of waterproofs took the force.
I haven't had any after effects personally, other than a a bit of embarrassment at the time, I'm fine, thanks for all the concern.
By the way MartinW it's a Cob!!
Oh, today a new battery arrived & has been fitted so Andy can go about his normal campsite duties without having to get some numpty jump started on the August weekend.
Having left my bike ignition on and letting the battery go flat while packing the bike for home was just as embarrassing.
