The hush monies were not paid, so here is Barbel Mick at his most athletic. Marvel at the fluidity of the roll. Poetry in motion.

I think being a breakfast tester helped in this situation, being thinner would have gone against him in this situation....  :stirpot:

Glad you're OK Mick .. :thumb:

Lee Harvery Oswald up to his old tricks again. Keep an eye on the grassy knoll at 0.37 seconds.

Poor Mick didn't stand a chance.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Do you always get off your bike like that? Bit dramatic isn't it.  I hope the bike is okay.  :thumb:

Hasn’t anyone noticed the actual cause of the “overbalancing” ? Mick stopped half on and half off the kerb edge stone, causing all of the weight of the bike to go to the right. As long as the bike is OK, his pocket money won’t suffer any damage, he was lucky there was no other traffic passing as he did his “one and a half tuck” dive/roll.

Yes. all been duly dissected back at the campsite. Front wheel is up on the higher ground, rear wheel tucks into the kerb but also gives a bounce at the same time as Mick was starting to put his left foot down. The distance between right foot and ground is more than normal due to front wheel being higher and rear shock just about tpping out. Bingo.
I did almost exactly the same on a pushbike once, was still firmly clipped in to cleats. Inevitable result followed by "why did you do that" from my mrs, behind me on her bicycle.

I see from the comments above that the steep rise in the cost of sympathy is now beyond the means of the forum. At the time, I was shaken at shocked at the sight of a beloved fellow breakfast tester lying in the road with his bike on it's side. Fortunately all those present executed a swift response and picked up the bike while I limped as slowly as was decent so as to arrive at the scene too late to be of any help at all.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

But still well ahead of me Brockett  :violence-smack:
I was monitoring the situation in my mirrors along the lines of, Oh Micks just pulling up behind, Oh where's Mick gone, Oh shit.
Anyway luckily there were capable hands quickly on scene and although the current banter may seem a little harsh the concern of those there at the time for Micks wellbeing was very genuine.
Seems to me gravity likes to remind us all periodically that it doesn't like to be defied...

Dave,

You know only too well that this is just friendly banter. If Mick had anything other than a bruised pride he would have the support of those here  :thumb:

No problem with the piss taking gents (I'd be doing the same  :haha:) but I told Rusty I was happy for the video to be posted up as it might help others to know how easy it is to drop the bloody thing.
I suppose it was all down to a bit of 'school boy error', we'd only been out for less than an hour so concentration was OK, I was looking to come to a stop on the pavement, but I think, I then thought I'd have more room on the road? By that time I'd come to a stop & as Ian said above & the rest of us realised after seeing the video, my right foot was an inch or so higher than it should have been/I thought it was.
Once the bike was on it's way it was just a case of the Ninja reflexes kicking in & saving myself from injury!  My wing man, Rusty, keeping any traffic at bay.
Even before the bike was righted concern was shown for myself by those present and then a quick look at the bike, which has no more than a scratch on the o/s spot & the rear o/s footrest had paint removed. Luckily the Lomo crash bar bag, full of waterproofs took the force.
I haven't had any after effects personally, other than a a bit of embarrassment at the time, I'm fine, thanks for all the concern.

By the way MartinW  it's a Cob!!

Oh, today a new battery arrived & has been fitted so Andy can go about his normal campsite duties without having to get some numpty jump started on the August weekend.
Having left my bike ignition on and letting the battery go flat while packing the bike for home was just as embarrassing.  :violence-smack:
