V-Strom specific discussion / Re: DL1000 AL8 ABS INCIDENCE
« Last post by Banditbilbo on Today at 10:20:51 »
Hi.
Thank you Sir.

So, I understand that there are 2 diagnostic plugs?

One on the rear side, and the one that you says on the ruser left side?

The last one could be  for ABS diagnostic?

I will check if I can locate and test.

Found some info at stromtrooper that checks and obtains similar values on the front ABS sensor, around 500Kohm.

So will be probable that my rear sensor is damaged, not broken, but deadly touched.

Just for the information of others.
I've had many recommendations on other sites for the Bip and Go, seems to work well. A couple have said it works in the clear pocket on the top of a tank bag.
The days of trying to get wet gloves back on with the innards hanging out like a prolapsed udder may be over.
I do hope so.
Oh yes, it apparently works in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
Thanks for the helpful comments.
Roll on Autumn.

She's got 3 leftover screws, a washer and 2 rubber grommets hiding in the front pocket of that pinny.
Two things struck me about the bike: the massive, ugly top tube/backbone of the frame, and most notably the peculiar rear suspension.

Here's a page for you Upt North. You can change the language to English at the top of the page. https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/

Edit. There are differences in rules and Laws concerning all vehicles; just off the top of my head... priority changes (left to right to give way situations), priority roads (yellow diamond sign), winkers are obligatory to change of lane/turning (even if pointless with no one to signal to), traffic light junctions are very complicated when you can go (green) but are stopped by pedestrian crossings as you turn..... As you say SO French!  :dl_smiley_banghead:
