Givi DF 3117 Handle bar screen deflector
« on: February 13, 2022, 18:13:27 »
HI folks, picking up my XT in a week or so & as an ex 1200 Tenere owner I found the small wingllets that faitted nr the indicators great for deflector rain fom coming over the tank & soaking the crutch area in water all day long when persisting down with rain.
I noticed Givi make a similar product BUT from the pics I have seen thay look much larger, does anybody have actual photos & have them fitted?  CAn anybody give feedback on what they are like... as in useful or not or are they like a useless sail?

They are fairly big, but work really well with the Airflow. Not the prettiest solution but whisper quiet and good protection.

Cheers for the photo, any chance you have a photo with the standard screen at all?

Sorry I don't.  It was the first thing I changed as my other bike is a BMW R1200RT,  so I am used to a barn door . That said I will probably fit the standard screen for a summer trip to the Isle of Man. The winglets will stay on regardless though.
