Collected it yesterday, rode up to longman and then we went to Grimsby (avoiding motoways) for some scampi and chips. After that we snaked it down to Skegness on the A1031 and A52, lovely roads. I went home via Boston, Spalding, Stamford and Corby. The Tracer can make up time really good if you're in a hurry
Once on the A14 I put on some speed and I love how relaxed it feels running a bit faster than one should (that's all I'm saying.) When I got home the odo was showing 340 miles for the day, it's a good thing I booked the first service for next Saturday. Thumbs up to the blokes at ALF England in Bedworth, they were great to deal with, had time for explaining and answering anything and are always happy to help
Seat was killing my arse, but if I move a bit back it's fine, still better than a DR-Z seat, but not as good as a Strom one. I set the seat to the highest setting before I left Skegness and it felt like that was a more comfy, perhaps the angle changes a bit.
I think the stock tyre pressures are a bit high. They are 36 front and 42 rear, not even the heavy Strom needs that when you're loaded and two up. I'm dropping the pressures by 3 PSI front and rear. The stock tyres are Dunlop ones and I'm not a big fan of Dunlop tyres on bikes. Being pumped up that hard makes them skittish, but I think the suspension is also part of that, it's set up hard from stock. Once the pressures are down, if it doesn't make an acceptable difference, I'll set the suspension to the stock "soft" settings and then play around from there.
Mr. Rat, I haven't managed to find out what type of connector that us, but I'll figure it out eventually, will let you know.
1 mile on the clock!
ps. It's not that clean any more.
