2 piece rain suit and helmet recommendations?
« on: March 24, 2021, 15:07:43 »
Just looking for advice on the best 2 piece rain suit to go for, I don't like the all in one type suits with the long angled zipper,
also looking for a new lid, kind of interested in on of those adventure style helmets with the peak. I'd imagine it must cause some turbulence though at speed.
I prefer a proper dark visor to those internal sun shields so that isn't a factor for me.

Scott waterproofs seem to get good reviews:

Evening, my best and most waterproof suit is a Danish Army goretex jacket, and British Army goretex trousers. No pooling in the lap and the trousers have a full length zip so they're easy to get on and off.

Regarding helmets, I used to have a Arai Tour x. The fit was great, but the quality wasn't the best. the paint around the mouth vent flaked off.

Hi, have used a Richa two piece waterproof suit after recommendation from a mate. Very good at keeping out the rain, and for early morning starts when cold I just wear the jacket over leathers til the 2nd coffee stop, then stick it in a lightweight bag on my back. Paid maybe £80 for it, great buy. Dave

Military gortex for me. If it can keep a grunt dry whilst out the field, it'll keep a bike rider dry - well it does me  :thumb:

Helmet wise I have no complaints with the AraiTour X4
