Caberg crash helmets - sizing
« on: February 16, 2021, 17:57:53 »
Hi, I’m looking at replacing my crash helmet with a Caberg Levo flip front. Would any if you be able to say if Caberg come up larger or smaller in their sizing than normal, as infuriatingly, my head comes right between a L and XL?
Obviously having to buy online so would like to get it right first time.
Thanks, Mark.

sportsbikeshop.com offer free returns. Alternatively, paypal offer I think 4 free returns with any retailer provided you make the purchase using paypal. I used sportsbike.com and worked my way through about 6 different lids before I found one that fitted, and they were excellent. I had a similar problem and ordered an XL and a 2XL in each of the lids I tried, in the hope I'd only have to send the one back that didn't fit. Of course, you have to pay for both at the outset, but if your cashflow can stand it it saves the delay of sending one back and waiting for another to arrive etc.

I have a caberg 2xl and it seems a little on the large size, where as some 2xl are too small. but it all depends on your 'ed and model of lid

If there's any way you can wait until shops open and go try a range then I can't recommend that enough. Constantly found myself between slightly loose mediums in every other brand (including my original Caberg modular) or a slightly tight small from Shoei. Thought I was just cursed with a 'tweener dome but my hjc rpha90 medium is incredibly comfortable and I wouldn't have found it without the chance to try multiple brands and sizes. Also you know, bike shop day out to look forward to 🤣
