CAGIVA. :lala:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Didn't know you were thinking of changing. What prompted the switch?

I never mentioned copying. :)

"Inspired by" is much more like it. :smirk:

The pictures are 2001 Cagiva Raptor 650's. Early ones used the carbed SV 650 engines, the later ones were fuel injected.

A Bloke in work has had one in his bit of the workshop for a coupe of weeks trying to get it to run and the charging system to work for a mate of his.
It got collected today and he told his mate to get it out of his sight before he burns it.

Every time he solved one problem another presented itself... Bloody Italians!
Muggins here was doing most of the detective work.

Needless to say the Japanese engine side of things was A-OK.

The clever Italians used quality components on the electrical system. The issues arise when you try to find which manufacturer supplied the components in the first place. I must admit to have had a trying few months recently, they are not a 'bike to have if you need to rely on a workshop or mate to keep it mobile.
As I have said before, I've yet to fit any parts made by Cagiva in my twelve years of ownership.

Hijack over, I hope you enjoy your new steed Steve. :thumb:

Nice bike Steve hope you enjoy it, surprised you traded the Glee after all the mods you had done to it. Rode the SV650 at the Suzuki test day absolutely loved it, a real fun bike. So much better than the Gladius I had before the Glee and loads better looking. Only issue I had with it was the seat it has no padding, bought the tall seat for the Gladius and that was loads better.
