Givi Trekker Top Box / Side Cases
« on: March 17, 2011, 19:20:22 »
I'm seriously considering kitting out my Wee out with a set of Givi Trekker boxes. Just like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250768515961&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I think this all looks rather smart, shame about the price of the boxes though!

Does anybody have any experience of these boxes or recommend anybody that sells them?

You could try Cliff at Two Wheel Trekkers (www.twowheeltrekkers.co.uk). He sells the Givi Trekker Luggage and normally gives great service.

Hi

I have had the Trekker boxes on the bike since Nov last year. No problems in fact some nice touches in both design and practical use.
Usual Givi quality and the fitting is perfect on the bike.

Go on, you know you want too !!!!

That's the problem! I really want to! Will be ordering a 46L for a top box on Monday, Ghostbikes seem to be one of the cheapest at £210 delivered, need to order the mounting kit as well (£40 ish).

Mr Blobby - What size boxes do you have for the side cases? Some places are saying to use a 46L on the non-exhaust side and the 33L on the exhaust side. I was (in time!) planning to use 2 x 33L as side cases with the 46L top box.

All the pictures I've seen just show 2 x 33L boxes on the sides.

Nice to hear positive feedback on them though!

Hi

The boxes are both the same size.  When I had them fitted I didn't have to make any decision about a smaller size for the exhaust side. The frame is made to take the exhaust into account.
I have posted pictures of the boxes on the forum. (My new Wee, gallery, pictures) and a couple of other places too

Check out http://www.bykebitz.co.uk before you order, they're usually not far off on price   :thumb:

P.S. good service too.
