Crash Protection - R&G Discount
« on: August 26, 2010, 07:15:24 »
Hello,

Just to let you know I'm close to negotiating a discount on R&G crash protectors for V-Strom owners who use this site. Will let you know more when I do.

Here's a pic of mine. Overkill with the engine bars? Maybe.

Hello Luke, what crash bars have you got? I have the RG racing bungs in your picture and they have to be removed to fit Givi bars. I like the RGs because as well as being bloody solidly built they can be used to rest me long legs on long trips!! I'm sure I paid over £100 for them but they saved all my plastic in a fall last year (pannier helped too). Any discount would be good for those thinking of fitting the RGs.
It's all good

Yep, Suzuki bars that are nicely rusting away.

They attached through the same engine mounting as the R&Gs, and as the R&G threaded bar is quite long, I was able to run them both. I would have taken the crash bars off had I not thought they offer the radiator a bit of extra protection.

Still working on how the R&G discount is sorted. Stay tuned.

I know that R&G would love to receive a testimonial and any pictures you might have of them doing their job. email randg.racing@gmail.com
