Gutted not the word
« on: May 30, 2015, 10:30:08 »
Well chaps going to wallow in a bit of self pity for a bit.
No way near as bad as snow strom has had it, I know.
Have had some hip trouble since December. Been unable to ride my vee.
Been docs had x ray. Sent for physio helped a bit. Turns out you only get 6 sessions. Mmmm great!
Back to the docs. Sent to see specialist. Seen him yesterday. Too young for a hip operation we will try painkilling injection.
Oh great says me.
We can fit you in 24th July. Oh by the way. The injection may work or may not it depends on the person. Oh joy. Wait for over 6 weeks and I might be back to square one!
 Feckin great
I had planed a solo trip to Scotland. Loch Ness,  John o groats, then down west coast. Taking in applecross , Isle of sky. Starting 6th of June for a week.
Well pissed off is not the word for it.
Have fitted new anakee2's in preparation of trip. Not even scrubbed in yet.
Might be able to re schedule for later on in the year. Fingers and everything else crossed
Only problem I hear the midges are ferocious towards end of June to august, then after that it gets a bit wet dose it not!!
Sooooo have a good riding season. Stay the right side up and think of me going stir crazy . Knowing  the bike is able but the rider is fooked!  :limp:
Ahhhhhhhh rant over  ###

Sorry to hear it mate. Hope the injection works. If you need your bike taking for a run I have form for taking injured riders bikes out while they recover!! I'm sure my brother thinks I'm doing him a favour...
Old enough to know better, but still too young to care...

Cheers tallPaul excuse the pun but I can't get me leg over.
Oh well at least I can polish it every week. By that time it should be the shiniest strom in the land!!

Haha Mr Booth very good. Only one floor to your idea. How the feck do I get off at the end of the day.
I could put side stand down then do a forward role off the bike. I must admit would be one spectacular way of getting off  lol  lol
Might have to change my mate to ninja strom!!

I'm sure there are servants for that aren't there?

Falling off also seems to be a reasonably popular method.  :thumb:

or...just never get off.... :auto-dirtbike:

Thanks snow.
Pain is no where near as you have.
In the man scale of pain.
I think I would put it right up there with giving birth.
No no come to think of it probably worse

That's real bad news. I have just done that trip two weeks ago before the midges come to play.
Sorry to hear of your pain. Hope the jab works for you.

Should you need any assistance with putting miles on your bike just give us a nod :text-imnewhere:

+1 for all the above best wishes.
Have a bit of hip trouble myself and although it's painful after a good ride it does push me to treasure my days in the saddle.
I am looking into a lifting loop so I can pull my foot up and over the saddle to get on it. Hmmmm. Not worked it out yet, but thinking.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

That's how it started with me. Got to the point I could not lift my right leg on or off the peg.
Had the same thought about some sort of loop round my leg.
I wonder if Kirky1298 or cymarc do them. I have also looked in Mr rats shop but alas,no joy!

Cheers Ali. If the jab works hopefully I will reschedule it for later in the year and fight the midges!
