Anybody been by motorcycle? Tips on best ways to get there, time needed, routes, etc?

I am going this year as part of a bigger trip. Booked ferry from Genoa to Bastia in Corsica on Moby Lines. An 11am departure sees you arrive there at 18.30. I paid £85.76 for bike and two persons one way.
