I'm a big Rossi fan and was gutted when he took Marquez out last week, big mistake.  He should have just sat on his wheel and taken the points.  I really didn't think there was anything in Marquez helping Lorenzo until I watched the last race.  Marquez looked to have the pace to take Lorenzo but instead just protected him.

African Motorcycle Adventure. The travel channel, Sunday 8th Nov. @ 19.00.
Did you watch this Mick? I was right in my thoughts that it would be rushed in order to squeeze it all in to a short series. He was only in some countries for 2 minutes. Interesting to watch, but it should have been broadcast in more parts.

IMHO   :dl_soapbox: Rossi invented the notion that Marquez was riding to "interfere" so as to lay a smoke screen to hide the probability that Lorenzo would take the championship.
Then Marquez probably thought that if that is what he was being accused of " watch what I can do when I feel so minded".
Rossi over reacted and slowed on a corner so he could bully Marquez into the dirt but overdid it and got punished for it. However, in the final race Rossi was not even a close fourth and never put in lap times to compete with the leading three.  Rossi is the best racer of modern times but he not likeable is the same way as Hailwood, Sheene or McGuiness ( and many others). Rossi has always "messed up" other riders when he felt challenged and maybe that is all part of racing. Well ... in the end he is not the 2015  champion and all his whingeing and whining should not be allowed to take the glister off the crown that Lorenzo now wears.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Martin, yes I agree. Not quite what I was expecting. I presume he/they would have had many, many hours of video but it was cut and edited to that for TV.
But at least it's motorcycling on the tele. and that makes it better than some of the crap that's on!!!!!
I've got the rest recording so I'll watch it at some point.

Interesting how we see and interpret these events differently. I certainly looked to me that at Valencia MM never really challenged JL for the lead and was riding "shotgun" for him so he could win. It also looked like he deliberately baulked DP and wanted to stop him tackling JL as well. Had both MM and DP got in front of JL, VR (Italian) would have won the championship. I am not a blind Rossi fan and he certainly went too far in running MM wide at Sepang. But relegating him to the back of the grid smacked of rank closing by the ruling body (largely Spanish?) and ruined the end of season finale. Had it been a fair scrap between VR and JL then whoever won the championship would have been seen as a clear and fair winner. As it stands it is seen by many as a farce and has not done MoroGP any good at all.

I really hope the farce of the last couple of races is forgotten when the season resumes, sadly I think Rossi will bring it up if he is off the pace. I'm hoping Dani and Ianonne continue their form and batter the top 3, I'd love to see Dani win a championship, it's a shame he doesn't have the personality of Rossi or Marquez, Lorenzo doesn't seem to have a personality, it's been a cracking season, it's a shame Rossi ruined it by trying to play mind games not realising Marquez would be such a child and really play up. Hello ho, it's going  to be a long couple of months until it starts again!

Bloke Martin has officially turned down Top Gear. He said ... “Top Gear might pay squillions of pounds, but what do I want all that for? I can earn enough for the life I want fixing lorries and doing a few other bits and pieces.” ...

It would have been nice to see him on there as he would have provided a bike slot on the show, but I think he's made the right decision as I can only see the new format bombing.

The Beeb would seek sensationalism and any content involving motorcycles will portray us in a poor light. If they applied the programmes usual shallowness to motorcycles we would all be damned as would be over-speeding boy racers just looking for the next excuse to wheelie down the high street.
The good Mr. Martin is worth more than becoming a clown and I think he knows it.

Just watched the Superbike TT on ITV4. I find this more entertaining than MotoGP, WSB or BSB.

Also a Lap Record from a standing start too  :thumb:
