Hi,
Prior to first trip of the year checked oil as per owners manual, then it says check daily by looking in window.
What's wrong with oil visible whilst centre stand?

The oil level in the sight glass window will only read correctly when the bike is standing upright on it's own wheels.
The side and centre stands both tip the bike one way or another.

The centre stand will make the level read a bit high since the glass is in the front part of the engine. A proper reading at the full mark will show a minimal trace of air above the oil on the centre stand.

I've always checked my oil on the centre stand on a flat surface. I figure it's more accurate than trying to keep a bike upright while bent over to look at the glass. There's also no chance that the bike is going to fall over when you have it on the centre stand than when you're holding it. The centre stand makes the bike lean towards one side so if you're really concerned about the slight inaccuracy then put something under the front wheel and the one centre stand foot to level the bike and see how much difference it really makes so you know to compensate for it in future checks.

My Glee manual says run for three minutes check level after another three. Personally I check mine after filling up with fuel, and I refuel on the centre stand
