Oil has a finite life once in an engine: mileage is only one side of the equation. Really a case of weighing up the type of running it's had, how long it's been idle, storage conditions, direction of the wind, exchange rate of the yen to the Columbian Peso, etc, etc.... For what an oil change costs, if you're in any doubts at all, change it. By asking the question, you have doubts!

Low usage is probably more harmful than above average usage.

Change the oil and filter and have some piece of mind  :thumb:

Might be worthwhile thinking about getting the brake fluid changed as well.

Yeah - got a local mechanic who will do that for me for £20 + price of brake fluid.
Is it easy to do yourself ? Just worried about bleeding it right... (Don't normally muck about with brakes)

I was happy to bleed the brakes on my old R100GS, but then it was a single caliper setup, and non-ABS. If you trust the mechanic then I'd pay the £20. And, try to watch what they do, so maybe next time you'll be happy to do it yourself.
