Going to rebuild shock on KLX250 looking for 5w shock oil. Some say shock oil fork oil it's all the same some say shock oil acts differently. Not only that I can't seem to find 5w shock oil. what's the consensus, the same, different.

oil is most likely 20 year old and yes its nitrogen filled which you can get done at any decent Tyre garage

Shock oil is different to fork oil. I prefer the silkolene stuff, but that's only a preference and anything will be better than the stuff that's in there at the moment
