Nice results - what length recording could you make with that camera?

Sorry for delay - had to try it.  On a full charge the cam ran for around 95 minutes and stored the video as two seperate files of 50:31 and 44:37 using space of 1.7 Gb and 999Mb. I have a 4Gb card in there so I guess that's about the best size to use for the battery life. I am not sure if it would always be like that as I expect the video is compressed so size may depend on how much movement occurs in the frame. The video straight from the cam is better than that shown on YouTube and is 640x480 (I think that's VGA).

I have such a toy too. Makes videos in sufficient quality. :thumb:
There are also SpyCams with a 1280*960 resolution (from Hongkong...). I ordered already - waiting for delivery. ( http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-DV-Keychain-Vi ... ltDomain_0 )
With it's 16 grammes, it also fits perfect to my RC-Plane (EDF-"Rafale"). A really nice Toy... :thumb:

Nice results - You good tell it was a strom engine

Vid a bit boring though - couldn't you have thrown it down the road and got it to cartwheel into the ditch

Like the video, great that you can hear the engine, my videos are just 'noise'!.

Was that filmed out towards Down Hatherley?  It looks really familiar.

Thanks, close but no cigar - that part was shot on the B4634 just before the M5 bridge then the turn off is by a pub called "The House In The Tree" onto an unnamed road which joins the B4634 to the A4019 Cheltenham to Tewkesbury Road. Still you did pretty good for a Canadian !

I think it was the pub that was the most familiar, my paternal grandmother lived in Churchdown and we used to take her out for Sunday lunches etc.  We may have been to that pub, she died in '98 and the last time I was back was '96 (this year just wasn't meant to be :angry-tappingfoot: ) so I may be mixing up locations.

Fingers crossed for 2011!

I like your helmet mount, a little less noisy and a better perspective than looking through the windscreen.  Maybe you could try angling the camera up a little bit to get a bit more distance in the view.  I fought with my Veho Muvi for ages to try and get the right setup, but the record start/stop button was a real pain to get to.  I'll try a new mount next time!

I found myself willing that blue car to get out of the way and actually breathed a sigh of relief when you were able to pass!

Yes I think that mounting a cam on a v-twin isn't a good idea. The helmet mount is a cut off Maglite headband held in place with velcro. I agree it could have been lifted a bit more - will continue to experiment .....

By the way the soundtrack is cut and pasted from the chewing gum cam clip as there was no sound recorded with the bullet. I put a nice Mark Knopfler track on it but YouTube wouldn't accept it because of copyright - they are getting far to clever.

Cheers For that
