Title: DL650 - Standard Screen and 6ft tall?
Post by: Artaroos on September 14, 2019, 13:06:55
My Learned Brethren,,

Any advice on the right screen for me please: DL650 - Standard Screen and 6ft tall?

Do I go for an aftermarket add-on to the original (which I prefer the idea/look of), or should I just forget such fancy (possibly cheapskate) ideas and get a touring screen?

Thanks for your advice / experience.

Art

I am just short of 6'2" and find the original, standard screen on my V -650 fine.

What year of DL650? I had a 2009 and it was fine once I had fitted an MRA lip to it. I'm a little bit over 6 foot...

It's a 2006 bike - and I have the screen fully up.

I just experience the buffeting at >80 mph occasionally, with a very gently (but continual) giggling of my head, which I know on long journeys is a recipes for headaches / disorientation etc..

Hello Brett, I have a mate who is 6.4, but when we sit next to each other we're the same height (he's all legs), maybe something like that is happening here for me.

cheers

Well it may not be normal - but I'm going to answer my own question:

This is what I was looking for https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00GA35PCO/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00GA35PCO/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza)

Puig 4639W Deflector, Adjustable Transparent Windscreen

That's better!

I got one for £25, which must have been an Amazon return - which was in perfect nick.
