Any Black Friday bargains?
« on: November 23, 2018, 17:31:58 »
Has anyone found any true bargains in amongst all the hype?

The closest I got was a cheapie Tablet. https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/tablets-and-ereaders/tablets/amazon-fire-7-tablet-with-alexa-2017-8-gb-black-10164177-pdt.html

I stay well clear of sales, It's a massive rip off selling second rate goods to the consumer.  :icon_no:

There was a report on BBC 2 radio, a survey found that 80% of goods sold "cheap" last year on Black Friday were  then sold cheaper before Christmas

Shopping is what girls do. Real men buy stuff.
However, I stayed home and bought nothing.
Nothing what-so-ever to do with bending over to get the milk from the frig this morning and being unable to stand up or do more than shuffle  until 4pm when I managed to make a cup of tea. :icon_crutch:
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Is the Americanism filter no more then? Hopped the Redeye to Macys store?

Refused to go near a shop today, not that I wanted anything. Its only a few years since the Tesco down the hill had fist fights over both the 99p 89-inch tellys they'd been advertising as coming soon since January. The sooner they realise this puts me off the better.

It's been 'Black Friday Week' over here, deals everyday for some shops advertising on the radio.  :GRR:
So how's it going so far then?

Sportsbike shop have extended their 'Black Friday' to 'Black Weekend' (I haven't looked at the deals) and I've seen some online advertising 'Black November'...

And next Saturday (01 Dec) it looks like Hel Performance are having a 40% off day with code 'Number1'

I bought a set of Hel lines at the NEC (good price) ... should have waited and saved another couple of quid!

Just need to fit them  :fix:
