I feel for his family and wish them all the best during this sad and painful time. 

Like so many others here, I never had more than brief dealings with GW (and they were peripheral), but, I considered him pretty much the authority and go-to man for anything technical.  He will be sorely missed.

Very sad news. His technical knowledge of the V Strom is very unlikely to be replaced. He always posted with authority, respect and dignity. An inspiration to us all. Ride in Peace.
