A place to buy a new Metzeler Tourance set???

Hi blokes!
My name is Nadav, I'm an israeli v-stromer.
I've been here as a silent reader for a long time now, and I plan to keep on doing it.
Its just that on this October I'm going to get to the UK for a couple of weeks..
I thought about coming back with a new set of Metzeler Tourance for my gentle-beast...
You see, the prices in Israel equals 350 GBP for the two Tyres as in the UK I saw it already listed for 190GBP:

So I wanted to ask you about places where I might find it for even less then this price.
What do you say? any chance?

Can I recommend the Heidenau K60 scouts instead?  I have 23,000km on mine so far and never got more than 8,000 km out of tourance

Hi nadav, there're a few good places to order tyres with links in this section
eg, http://www.oponeo.co.uk/

I assume you are flying in, in which case you'll have to remember the weight of the tyres in yor luggage on return!!

If you know where you are staying, maybe see if the tyres can be delivered to that address...?

I assume you got your fleece, because someone was selling an XL one under 'for sale' a week or two ago??

what about climate? here we have very hot summers and short but wet winters, will it survive?

They should work out for you, I ran the same tyres in oz with extreme hot and crap rough roads and they still lasted 20000

The K60s are stonking!!

I did a 300 mile ride in the first 3 days of having them - when I say wet, I mean wet and windy enough that my other half is reluctant to get back on the bike!! They were perfect! don't worry about the wet on the K60s.

I took a few days to get used to the non road-biased tread pattern, but I am at one with them now and am happy to push the bike a little more everytime I get on!

I tried them on loose gravel last weekend and they were great fun!

Budget wise, if you go to Oponeo, they are about the cheapes tyres on there for the Strom!

I saw only front tyre with the name K60
when I search for 150/70 R-17 (Rear) it doesn't give me any Heidenau K60 Scout...

 

why is that?
