Bike was due for a service on Monday, (10/1/10), still plenty of salt ,slush, and ice about so I chickened out and made the call to cancel.
Half an hour later a very nice man rang and said they could collect and return the bike FOC.

. The bike was also cleaned to perfection. And, as I was at work when it was returned, they even offered to put it away in my workshop if SWMBO would be kind enough to unlock everything.
At main dealer prices though I think it may be the bike's last visit there
Now 2 years old there is no chance of trying to making an "extended" warranty claim, so better dig out the spanners for "in house" servicing in future.
