It will make the engine run richer at all rpm ranges. Only some areas are actually lean. If you don't mind a small drop in fuel economy and an increase in emissions is okay, you may be happy with it. If your bike has problems with fueling that can be demonstrated to a dealer, you should be able to get a new ECU for free that will solve the running issues, not pollute and provide better fuel economy than the booster plug will.

Personally I would not use one of those,  for the reasons Greywolf highlights, if you really want to sort the lean spots, get a power comander and a dyno run, it's the only way of getting your fueling right.
