2012 Glee. Cut me!
« on: August 30, 2012, 15:46:54 »
Hi all, I remember when I had a DL1000, cutting the origonal screen down very low was the only way to get clean air with no buffeting. Now a have a nice new DL650 I am pondering getting the jigsaw out again to conquer the dreaded noise. Anyone cut there screen down with good or bad results?

I find that the 2012 Strom has really good wind protection , you just need to lean into it a bit.

I'm looking for a used stock screen to cut down, don't want to ruin my chances or returning the bike back to standard if I decide to sell it.. It's good to know others are thinking of going this way instead of just shelling out on posh touring screens.. A screen is a screen, I need no screen, that way my Shoei deals with the air and it's brilliant at it.. Keep it simple :)

If you have to alter your natural riding position to accommodate the air management then the air management is wrong, not your riding position.
