No Nigel, I don't like people either!!
I go to very few bike meets & then only the smaller ones. Places like Matlock Bath (just up the road) I avoid as best I can. I enjoy nothing more than riding with my good lady, on our own, or meeting a 'few' friends for a ride or trip.   :)

Strange place, Krazy Horse (I have the t-shirt). Excellent display of bikes and choppers. I liked the diner setup too upstairs. The strange bit is it deserves a better location and not in a dull 'samey' Industrial Estate.
So how's it going so far then?

Upt North that’s what I thought when he told me  lol.

Barbel Mick I am very much like you I enjoy riding on my own and of course small groups of friends 👍

Joe Rocket I definitely can see where you are coming from, as you say an Excellent display of bikes and some one off built choppers. but I got there 10 mins from closing so only got a Quick Look round  lol
And you are right it does deserve a better location being right in an industrial Estate.  The unit next door is Empty I wonder if they would take another unit on ? I half new where it was as the road that it’s off of is the road to Mildenhall I used to go to speedway there.

I echo Mick's and Upt North's comments, not sure if Mick's was meant for me or if Upt North's first name is classy too :icon_wink:

But ...there have been a few parties I sort of remember from when I was younger............no... not going there.

XJ puzzle. The fuel run is from the tank via a vacuum operater tap to a filter and then an electric pump up to a T feeding all four carbs.
With the engine at tickover 1200 rpm  bike upright  the revs rise to 2300 and then fall back slowly to 1200 and then rise again and it does this in cylces. I have checked the float heights and they are now correct. I am wondering if the electric fuel pump is over pressuring and forcing fuel past the carbs float valves. I believe - with no evidence- the pump should shut off when a certain pressure is reached. if so could this be defective? Is there anyway to test it? I went on a run out tp Stoneham Barns bike night yesterday and the bike runs perfectly at speed but is a bit tricky starting and stopping.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

The pump is a low pressure unit with a pressure sensor built in. If the pressure in the line is below x, it pumps. If the pressure is above x, it doesn't pump.

To test the pump:
1. Disconnect the pump outlet from the carbs, put it into a container.
2. Switch on the ignition. It should pump, and keep pumping.
3. Put your thumb over the end of the line and hold it there. After a little build up of pressure, it should stop pumping.
4. Take your thumb off the end of the line. It should pump again.
5. Repeat steps 3&4 until you're happy that it works.

I would probably do this test off a separate power supply - like a 12v battery wired direct to the pump, seeing as the wiring is also suspect.

This copied from elsewhere Brockett. I'm not sure I'd put my thumb over the end, I'd probably clamp it. Being doused in petrol sounds a possibility and even e10 must burn hot!
Good luck.

This could be a tricky one to isolate. If it is not the fuel pump then I would look to air leaks. The very very small sort that comes and goes with perished rubbers.

I had an absolutely belting run out with my mate today. The best bit was we hardly encountered any traffic appart from a few areas, quite remarkable. We rendezvoued at Fairmoor just North of Morpeth and set off down the A1 heading for the Tyne Tunnel. After the tunnel we carried on South down the A19 to Middlebrough and took the A66 turn off. We then headed for Stokesley and then on to Helmsly, which was packed with bikes. From here we headed to Thirsk via Sutton Bank and then on to Masham and Leyburn. A short stop for fuel in Leyburn and it was over to Aysgarth & Hawes. We stopped between Hawes & Sedbergh for a drink and a picture opportunity at the 'Adam Sedgwick and the Dent Fault' car park. From there it was through Sedbergh and on to Kirkby Steven for a late lunch with the 'travelling fraternity' (must be Appleby Horse Fair soon...).
After a cracking bite to eat at the Mulberry Bush Cafe it was on to Brough, over the moors to Middleton-in-Teesdale, on to Stanhope, Blanchland & Slaley. From here we headed through Stamfordham, Belsay & Whalton before arriving back at Morpeth again. An absolutely cracking day out and some 260 miles covered.
Very happy and days like this are why I ride a bike  :lala:

Yesterday, actually, but this...

Picked up TLPower on the M1, met Endintears in Welshpool, rode down to Fat Rat's site, met Barbel Mick, Deb, Ridaz and (Tigerman?) Andy. Rode down to Tenby, came back to the site. Epic weather day. Set the camera up on time-lapse to catch the Northern Liights. Nothing but a shooting star. Ah, well.

Today, I had a nice little bimble up to Rothbury and back via loads of little side roads. It was 22c, so flip front up all the way (& back). Being a Monday there was hardly any traffic on the roads too. While having a cuppa I bumped into George from TEC bike parts on his gorgeous new Triumph 400 Scrambler. They really look the part but a wee bit small for me, very nice feller mind. On the way back I stopped for a quick photo at Wingates Wind Farm (https://www.ventientenergy.com/our-portfolio/wingates/).

I also tried out my new Spada Splash gloves which are on sale for only £14.99 at Sportsbikeshop (https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/431015). They are incredibly breathable, lightweight and give amazing feel & feedback. How good they'll be in an accident is anyones guess, but the trick is not to have one...

Today, saw me waste my time changing the bevel box oil in the tigger. It came out incredibly clean and particle free, which was reassuring to be fair. Replaced with some fully synthetic Motul 75/90w hypoid oil.

Today saw another nice trundle around the borders. The highlights were the road up to Longformacus and back down to Duns, cracking road. While in Duns I had a quick piccie next to the statue of Wojtek (Google it, amazing). A great day out and another 200 mile trip this year. Some serious amount of flies to wash off the bike when I got home mind...
