cramlington biker

bought 2011 650xp lo in sep2012, have now done 8500 this year. coming from a 1000sv I had thought I had made a grave mistake at first, but once I realised you don't try and ride them like a sportsbike, but sit upright and countersteer it around bends then I soon realised you could have just as much fun(but in massive comfort) as when on a sports bike. still not 100% taken on the looks, but I am slowly changing it to improve it. improvments so far include, mudguard extender, rear hugger, vario screen,gear/volt indicator, heated grips,12volt socket and fork brace. the more important improvements include, tochico 4 pot callipers and master cyl, hyperpro fork springs, forks dropped 20mm,dunlop roadsmarts, gpr ss oval exhaust system and most importantly a Nitron rear shock. all these parts have given me a bike I am 100% happy with for ALL sorts of riding. I am now completely converted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my fuel consumption varies from 50 to 66MPG which meens I can get between 200 and 300 miles per tank easly without worry
  DON.

Hi and welcome. Yes it is a different mindset from sports bike riding, but it's a lot more relaxed and just as much fun, more even as you're not constantly looking out for cameras.
