Pat Walsh Radar/Accessory Shelf
« on: July 21, 2012, 22:48:43 »
HI - I have the radar shelf for sale - the paintwork has come off it [this happened 2 months after I got it - quite dissappointed in the finish] and it has some rust on it - could be cleaned up and resprayed by someone who has the time [not me!] otherwise the item has no cracks or dents and is not bent.

top of shelf -

bottom of shelf -

10 euros plus P+P - pm me if interested
cheers, Dave.

The finisher must have improperly prepared that one. I haven't seen rust on a PW shelf that didn't have the surface damaged from an outside force before. I had one for years on my K7.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

I know - I was quite amazed at how fast it peeled off, took it off the bike as soon as it started - must be all the salt in the air down here lol!!

May be the UK weather - mine did exactly the same thing!!

Took all of 10 mins with some nitromors and a tin of Plasticote to get it looking good as new!
