Bonding with my new bike.
« on: May 12, 2016, 20:42:00 »
I have had my first new bike about 4 months now with only 800 miles on the clock due to the bad weather. I enjoyed the local runs getting used to the bike. I sold my Suzuki vx800 to buy  the 650xt so it had a lot to live up to. The only thing I miss the most was the shaft drive. The weather was warming up and thought it time to fit the luggage and try out some camping as a trip to Bude in North Cornwall with the club was coming up in a couple of weeks . I headed off to manifold valley in the peak district to camp for a couple of nights to check things out. The bike handled the extra luggage no problem.
Just need to get some more miles on it which will happen this weekend as I head off to the coast with fellow members of the club  for the first time. Photos of old Suzuki /new Suzuki.

I think it was fate that I ended up with a red one, it was the only colour available at the time and the same colour as my old 97 Suzuki.

Hi Pete, nice bike, silly question but what's that coming from side stand up to tank ?  :icon_exclaim:

That'll be string attached to a side stand puck that stops the side digging in and the bike going over.

Use the string to pick the puck up when you're ready to ride off.
